Board Foot Calculator
Calculate board feet (and cubic metres) for lumber, plus total cost at a price per board foot.
How it works
Board feet = thickness (in) × width (in) × length (ft) ÷ 12 × pieces. 1 board foot = 144 in³ = 0.00236 m³.
Examples
- A 2×6, 10 ft long = 2 × 6 × 10 ÷ 12 = 10 bf.
- A 1×12, 12 ft long = 12 bf.
